The Lone Star Brewery is having its first VIP-only Concert on November 7, 2008. This is an invite-only concert hosting an evening of urban pop rock with one of Austin’s most popular bands: The John Pointer Trio. John Pointer has won 9 Austin music awards and has appeared in numerous national commercials as a human beatbox. Lone Star Brewery’s first concert will include John’s friends Darrell Phillips on bass (most well known as bassist for Sister 7 and the Dirty Wormz) and Rob Hooper on drums (Guy Forsyth’s drummer). It will be soulful Urban Jungle Rock from start to finish.

If you didn’t get invited to this first event, keep your eyes peeled for future concerts and activities open to the public.
